Is it your racket?
We'd rather you buy the right one than this one.
You'll love it if
- you want maximum power on smashes and viboras
- you live at the net and take the ball early
- you have clean technique and like a stiff, direct feel
Maybe not if
- you're still developing, it isn't forgiving, try the Veron
- you want comfort on the arm, try the Viper Soft
The Babolat Viper Juan Lebrón 3.1 is the racket El Lobo actually plays with, and it doesn't pretend to be anything else. Diamond head, head-heavy balance, a stiff 3K carbon face and a Hard EVA core. It's built to finish points.
Hit it cleanly and it's savage. Smashes go through the court or out of it, volleys come off fast and flat, and the 3D Spin surface grips the ball for heavy viboras and bandejas. The Dynamic Stability System stiffens the heart of the frame, so it stays solid when you hit hard and early rather than twisting in your hand.
Who it's for: advanced players with good technique and a genuinely attacking game. You need the swing speed and timing to use a firm, head-heavy racket, because it gives very little back if you don't.
Our honest take: this isn't a racket to grow into. If you're still working on your technique or your arm doesn't love hard rackets, the Viper Soft gives you most of this power with far more comfort, and the Veron does it for less. If you want maximum output and you can handle it, this is the one.
