The Babolat Counter Viper 2.6 2026 by Coki Nieto is designed for players who win points through solid defence, smart positioning, and controlled counter-attacks. It’s the kind of racket that feels dependable when the pace goes up, especially in fast exchanges at the net or when you’re defending heavy overheads.
One of the biggest strengths of the Counter Viper is its stability and forgiveness. The sweet spot is generous, so even when you’re stretched or late on the ball, it still keeps shots controlled and predictable. That makes it a great option for players who like to stay calm in defence, reset points, and wait for the right ball to attack.
The feel is firm and crisp, giving you clear feedback through the strike. It’s not overly soft or trampoline-like, but that’s what helps it stay controlled when you’re blocking, volleying, or placing balls into gaps. When the opportunity comes to step forward, it still has plenty of power available, especially on overheads and finishing shots when you catch the ball clean.
Overall, it’s best suited to intermediate to advanced players who want a racket that supports a patient, consistent style, defend first, then punish.
