Is it your racket?
We'd rather you buy the right one than this one.
You'll love it if
- you attack from the net and want to finish points
- you want Genius feel with more head weight
- you play two-handed backhands and want a longer handle
Maybe not if
- you're a beginner, try a round, softer racket
- you mostly defend from the back, the Genius 18K suits you better
The NOX Genius Attack 18K Alum 2027 is the follow-on to last year's AT10 Genius Attack 18K. NOX have dropped the AT10 name for 2027, but this is still one of their top-end rackets: Tapia's Genius, pointed forward. It's a diamond with a high balance and an 18K aluminised carbon face, built for players who want to finish points from the net.
The redesigned mould is more aerodynamic and easier to control through the swing, and the new Oversize Grip adds 30mm to the handle. That helps on two-handed backhands and shifts weight towards the head, so smashes and viboras carry more inertia. The MLD Black EVA core keeps enough touch for slower shots, and VCS anti-vibration takes the edge off hard hits.
Who it's for: attacking intermediates and advanced players who like the feel of the Genius but want more punch overhead.
Our honest take: it's still a Genius, so it's more forgiving than most attack rackets at this level. If you defend a lot from the back, the standard Genius 18K is the better fit. If you want this power with an even stiffer, sharper face, go for the Attack 12K Alum XTREM.
