Sweet spot slightly higher than a round. Bit more reach, still easy to control.

Is it your racket?
We'd rather you buy the right one than this one.

Maybe not if
- you're still developing, the Genius 18K is more forgiving
- your arm doesn't like firm rackets
The NOX Genius 12K Alum XTREM 2027 is the follow-on to last year's AT10 Genius 12K Alum XTREM (NOX have dropped the AT10 name this year) and sits right at the top of NOX's range. It's the sharpest, most precise version of Tapia's teardrop. The 12K Alum XTREM carbon face uses a tight rectangular weave that NOX says cuts fibre waviness by 50%, so it feels stiffer and more direct than the 18K, with the same thermal stability from the aluminised finish.
Refined mould profiles make it a touch more aerodynamic and better balanced in the hand. The MLD Black EVA core gives power on smashes and control on slower shots, Dual Spin grips the ball, and VCS anti-vibration takes up to 56% of the impact out of your wrist, according to NOX.
Who it's for: advanced players with clean technique who want a crisp, accurate teardrop and the power to finish.
Our honest take: a brilliant racket if you hit the ball well, but less forgiving than the 18K. If you want the same face in a lighter, softer package, the 12K Alum XTREM Lite is easier to swing. If comfort matters more than precision, go 18K.
