How the Xcalion M1 Hybrid plays
Pick it up and the first thing you notice is the weight. Around 323g without grip or wrist strap. That is properly light, not brochure light. Preparation feels quicker. Reactions at the net come earlier. You can accelerate through the ball without muscling a heavy head. It still plays like a grown-up advanced padel racket, not a foam beginner stick. Medium/hard Black EVA gives a dry, reactive response. You get clean ball output when you middle it, and the large sweet spot keeps defence playable when you are late or off-centre. The 3D XC rough face helps with spin on volleys, slices and viboras. Balance sits medium / balanced, so the hybrid shape does not tip into a tip-heavy power racket. You can defend from the back, step in for the volley, and finish when the ball sits up. That is the all-round brief done properly.What makes Xcalion different (ALMA carbon)
Most brands still build with traditional carbon layups: lower fibre density, more empty space in the structure, and a multi-piece build with more joins. Xcalion’s whole pitch is that they do it differently. ALMA is their exclusive high-density carbon, developed from aerospace materials work (co-funded with the European Space Agency on their side of the story) and applied to padel. The difference versus normal carbon is concentration. More carbon fibres packed tighter means less dead space between them. On court that shows up as:- Lower weight without feeling flimsy (range sits roughly 312 to 333g)

- A bigger usable sweet spot than the weight suggests
