We’ve partnered with Xcalion to bring their padel rackets to the UK & Ireland, and we didn’t pick them lightly. It comes down to one thing: the carbon.
Their ALMA carbon is an exclusive, patented material – endorsed by the European Space Agency and made in Spain. Packed tighter and more uniformly than traditional carbon, it means rackets that are ~10% lighter (from just 312g), far more consistent frame-to-frame (±5g vs the usual ±30g), and tested against the market’s leading rackets with a Madrid university, up to 5× the lifespan.

The Adidas Metalbone CTRL 2026 has quietly become our best seller these last couple of months, knocking the ever-popular NOX AT10 18K 2026 off the top spot. And honestly, we get why.
Round head, carbon face, Soft Performance EVA core, sitting at a manageable 345 to 360g with an even balance. On paper it’s a control racket, but there’s more to it than that.
For a control racket it’s not super soft. If anything it’s balanced to slightly hard through the face, and the sweet spot is massive, which makes it seriously playable. Mistime one and it doesn’t punish you. Middle it and you know about it.
Then there’s the weight system. Move the weights higher up the frame and you get more power on your smashes, keep them low and you get more control and manoeuvrability. Set it up how you play.
If you want a proper all-rounder that grows with you, this is the one players keep coming back to.
