The XCALION UNUM S1 Control is an ultra-lightweight padel racket designed for players who prioritise control, manoeuvrability and precision across the court.
Weighing just 313g without the grip or wrist strap, it’s considerably lighter than a conventional padel racket. Combined with its medium-low balance and large sweet spot, this makes the UNUM S1 exceptionally quick to manoeuvre and particularly effective when defending, reacting during fast exchanges or controlling the ball around the court.
The racket uses XCALION’s exclusive high-density ALMA carbon within a monocoque construction, allowing the structure to remain strong and responsive despite the exceptionally low weight. A single-layer medium/hard Black EVA core creates a medium, dry and reactive feel with excellent ball output, helping you find depth without having to force every shot.
The 3D XC textured surface provides additional grip on the ball for spin, while the 38mm profile and exposed carbon finish complete its premium construction. The low overall weight also allows the racket to accelerate extremely quickly when you do want to attack, giving it more power than you might expect from such a control-focused racket.
Each XCALION UNUM S1 also includes the UNUM Kit with an interchangeable wrist strap, padded grip and overgrip.

The XCALION UNUM S1 Control is probably the racket in the range that best shows what XCALION’s ultra-light concept can do for control. At only around 313g, it feels unbelievably quick in the hand. Defending, reacting at the net and getting the racket into position all feel effortless, while the round, lower-balanced setup gives you loads of confidence when you’re trying to place the ball rather than simply hit through it.
What surprised us is that it doesn’t feel like a soft, lightweight beginner racket. The feel is still quite dry, crisp and reactive, and when you accelerate there’s plenty of ball output there. We’d recommend this to players who already enjoy round control rackets but want something considerably lighter, faster and easier on the arm. It’s a very different feeling to a conventional 360g racket — and that’s exactly the point.

Round head, carbon face, Soft Performance EVA core, sitting at a manageable 345 to 360g with an even balance. On paper it’s a control racket, but there’s more to it than that.
For a control racket it’s not super soft. If anything it’s balanced to slightly hard through the face, and the sweet spot is massive, which makes it seriously playable. Mistime one and it doesn’t punish you. Middle it and you know about it.
Then there’s the weight system. Move the weights higher up the frame and you get more power on your smashes, keep them low and you get more control and manoeuvrability. Set it up how you play.

Absolutely. We accept returns within 14 days as long as the racket is unused and in perfect, resellable condition—including original packaging. Just get in touch with us to arrange a return or exchange.

At this time, we don’t offer demo rackets or trials, but our team is happy to recommend models based on your playing level, goals, and preferences. We’re working behind the scenes to open up a storefront in a few clubs around the country!
