Best Padel Courts in Northern Ireland

Posted in

Padel is exploding in popularity across the UK — and Northern Ireland is catching the wave. At NinePadel, we’re especially excited, because one of our founders actually plays right here in Northern Ireland. We’ve seen the local scene grow first-hand, and it’s only getting better.

If you’re looking to pick up a racket and hit the court, here are the top places to play padel in Northern Ireland right now, plus a few exciting venues that are on the way.

1. Padel54 (Lisburn/Maghaberry)

Padel54 is the heartbeat of padel in Northern Ireland. With modern courts, organised sessions, and a growing community, it’s the go-to spot whether you’re a complete beginner or a seasoned player. The vibe is welcoming and social, and it’s already producing some strong local players.

Why it’s great: Top-notch facilities, coaching opportunities, and a buzzing atmosphere that makes it easy to find games.

2. Belfast Boat Club (Belfast)

Belfast Boat Club is already a well-established sporting hub, and its padel courts are a brilliant addition to the city’s scene. Conveniently located, the club offers the full package — gym, tennis, social spaces, and now padel.

Why it’s great: City-centre convenience, quality courts, and the chance to connect with a wide sporting community.

3. Let’s Go Padel (Carryduff)

This club is bringing padel to the Carryduff area with a strong focus on community and access. It’s a great option if you’re south of Belfast and want somewhere local to play. Expect well-maintained courts and a friendly, welcoming vibe.

Why it’s great: Easy access for players south of the city, and a growing community of padel enthusiasts.

Other Places to Play (or Coming Soon)

  • Let’s Go Padel Ballyclare – Expanding the Let’s Go network further north, giving players in the Ballyclare area a chance to get on court.

  • Galgorm (coming soon) – A luxury setting planning to add padel facilities; expect this to be a premium experience once it opens.

  • Eddie Irvine’s (Bangor) – Already has courts, but player feedback says they aren’t the best quality. Still, it’s a place to get a hit in if you’re nearby.

  • Windsor Tennis Club (Belfast, coming soon) – One of Belfast’s historic tennis clubs planning to add padel, which will really boost the city scene.

  • Other planned venues – There are rumblings of further padel courts coming across NI as demand grows, so keep an eye out for new openings.

Northern Ireland’s padel scene is still young, but it’s growing fast — with Padel54 leading the charge, Belfast Boat Club offering great city access, and Let’s Go Padel expanding the game into new areas. Add in the upcoming projects, and NI is shaping up to be a brilliant place to play padel in the next few years.
